M.A.C. Alchemical Magic.

No matter how hard I try, I just can’t seem to pass up a bit of M.A.C. Alchemical magic. The makeup trend seen in many of the Milan S/S 08 shows were, once again, the stuff that dreams are made of. As pictured, the makeup designed for the Salvatore Ferragamo show by M.A.C. was all about the Flesh Metal, juxtaposed by a sheer cheek and seashell shades on the skin and lip. Although M.A.C Gorgeous Gold was the heroine of the Show, this delightful beauty is alluringly devastating with an incandescent eye courtesy of Goldmine eyeshadow and a faint trace of white eyeliner to the waterlines. It’s as simple and universally divine as that!

Slim Down With Gratitude.

Why not? If we’ve learned anything about diets, it’s that they rarely continue to produce results in any long lasting way, shape or form. Well, that certainly rings true for diets used alone and without any major attitudinal adjustments to one’s self-perception. Even then, it’s more than likely that it is our meaningful shift in how we relate to food and our belief in ourselves that is the greater cause for the changes to our body image than any diet would be in itself. Beauty Marked! is willing to bank that if we had a good look at all that we have to be grateful for in our lives, with our beautiful bodies and commit to working towards self-acceptance and love, our weight would automatically settle to a healthy, ideal, and optimally functioning level for as long as we desired. No kidding. Judging from the demonstrated effectiveness of positively affirming only what we truly desire and showing gratitude for our beautiful selves and the blessings that abundantly abound, at every opportunity, our bodies wouldn’t choose to hang on to, hoard or operate as if scarcity were its default setting.

In other words, showing gratitude will both positively and successfully reset our body’s default position from scarcity as its modus operandi, to retraining itself to innately and effectively utilize the abundance of quality food available, employ our positively affirmed thoughts, use anything else that it needs for optimal functioning and release the rest. Out would go the excess stored fat, below par functioning cells, impurities, and toxins. Eventually, our bodies will no longer instinctively stockpile excess on our hips, thighs, tummy or wherever, for a rainy day, so to speak, because it would learn, know and trust that there will always be more superlative goodness, on a great many levels, to come. Luckily, our bodies are quick studies and will soon realize that it can be “at ease” and not cling onto everything that heads its way, but get on with being as it was original designed: Its own uniquely magnificent, whole, complete and perfect self. All that will be left for you to do is just graciously enjoy it for a long time to come!

Affirmation for Optimal Body Weight: I am grateful for the many blessings that I have and am secure in knowing that there is always an abundance of goodness that will fully support and empower me to have a healthy and joyous life.

What’s A Bad Hair Day?

A few months ago I had my hair titivated with several Original Diva Exclusive Hair Inserts and gosh was that ever fun. When the near OCD-like shaking of the head and the shameless reflection gazing subsided somewhat, it dawned on me that with these nifty, clip-on, Silk Remy human hair inserts, there is really no longer a need for there to be such a thing as a “bad hair day” ever again. I’m liking that notion, absolutely! Original Diva offers you a “great hair day” with their three, Original Diva 100% Human Hair Extensions options:

Single Clip-on Highlights Offers you a burst of colour or a subtle high or low light to complement any hair tone.

Original Diva In a Box This is your full head of hair in multiple clip-on tracks of inserts that can be used as often as desired and inserted and removed in minutes.

Permanent Micro Ring System Original Diva’s Permanent Ring Micro System offers the wearer a keratin tipped end sitting close to the scalp attached with soft teflon coated beads for reduced scalp irritation. As your hair grows, a professional stylist can easily reposition the beads to the roots of the hair for ongoing wear.

Original Diva products are sold throughout Australia’s leading salons, but do be sure to visit the Original Diva Online store for so much more! *still flicking*

Wonderfully Wacky-Do and Hair Free Too!

hippy_faery_colour.jpg

I received an email the other day that made me giggle a bit, absolutely smile an even bigger bit, and ever so pleased to be a bit “Out There”. Here’s an excerpt from the most excellent email below:

Hello Beauty Marked!,

“I have to say that your rather well informed, albeit unorthodox approach to beauty is really refreshing and always a great read. I wasn’t too sure I’d get into the daily beauty affirmations or enjoy the beautiful quotations you have posted as much as I have. They are just so different. But I think the thing I am most pleased about is your inspirational quips that you liberally share. I also love that you are so wonderfully wacky-do, but in the coolest, most well groomed way…”

i just had to share this gem of an email and weigh in to say how much I so appreciate and embrace my card carrying Groomed Wacky-Do status and that I couldn’t ever consider passing up an opportunity to spritz on a fine fragrance, slick on a gorgeously-rich red lippie, have a mani, pedi, blow-dry, brow shape, wax, facial, to meditate, re-align my chakras, have a massage, or to commune with a magnificent crystal. No way José! But the best bit about this email is that you lovelies obviously know it too. I love that! Thanks for noticing and an even bigger thanks for being you!

Beauty Out Equals Beauty In:

Most of us are familiar with the Law of Attraction as it is capably explored and explained in Rhonda Byrne’s’ “The Secret”, but I’d like to lovingly remind you that the very same principles apply to beauty…our beauty. When we are continually thinking negative thoughts about ourselves like, I’m so ugly, I wish I were attractive, I hate my skin, I wish I didn’t have such a funny looking nose etc., Gosh, if I could only loose some weight then I’d look nicer, I’ll never find love, and so on, these negative thoughts are making their way Out There, and as dictated by the Law of Attraction (like attracts like) we expertly attract the very same back into our lives and we tend to get tons more of what’s in direct alignment with our thoughts. In other words, we get more of whom or what we don’t want. G-r-e-a-t-t-t-t!

So the important thing to remember is (seeing that the Universe is not as discerning as we’d like it to be) that we can totally utilize the Law of Attraction to our favour. By regularly and actively affirming what (and whom) we wish to attract into our lives, focusing on the positive and sending only beautiful, loving and supportive thoughts out about ourselves and the Universe will, absolutely, ensure that we abundantly get exactly that back. Not bad, ay? After all, as we like to say here at Chez Beauty Marked!, Beauty Out Equals Beauty In, because beautiful thoughts always lead to beautiful outcomes. And yes…that’s, definitely, a Beauty Marked! promise!
