Change Is As Good As…
A holiday, yes siree, Bob! I don’t know about the weather in your neck of the woods, but in mine, it’s so changeable that the old adage about fickle weather rings true: “If you don’t like the weather… just wait a minute.” Yep, it’s just that variable. So to cope with the “variety” I’ve been really giving my new cosmetic crush a workout and have managed to have all the bases covered, with great aplomb (or should that be apeach?), thanks to BECCA. BECCA’s newest Beach Tint in Peach is it. Love it! Love it! Love it! BECCA Beach Tint in Peach is a gorgeous warm orange pink crème stain for the cheeks and lips. BECCA Beach Tint in Peach is a beautifully scented, long-lasting, ultra blendable stain that is darn near kiss-proof and highly water-resistant. This divine creme stain is streak-free, non-greasy, and suitable for all skin types. But wait, there’s more: You can apply this beauty with fingers or brush and it will look gorgeous every time! Plus, BECCA Beach Tint is preservative and paraben free. Just like we like it!
BECCA Beach Tint in Peach is on counter now. Away you go…you’ll love it! Promise.
Promising Beauty.
Wisdom is the abstract of the of the past, but beauty is the promise of the future.

Disruptions To Perception.
I had a thought, dangerous thing, I know. (*note to self: must stop doing that!) I wondered why we so often criticize or are self-deprecating to our beautiful selves? I am certain that we wouldn’t even be tempted to inflict such wounds onto others, but almost as if instinctive and without much thought, we can usher such harsh criticism onto ourselves. Just as soon as the aforementioned thought moved through my mind, I realized that when we act in such a manner towards ourselves, we are having a real disruption to our true perception of our infinite beauty and that of others. We’re having a break in transmission, if you like. When such disruptions or breaks in transmission occur, we can find ourselves in a position where it’s darn near impossible for us to see our own beauty, the beauty that abundantly surrounds us or the beauty to which we are connected to and such disruptions can cause a loss of joyous self-expression.
So why not view these momentary disruptions to our perception as the gliches or breaks in transmission that they are and think nothing of them? With a bit of luck and before long, we won’t even notice these breaks in transmission or (more importantly) their effects and then they will eventually cease to be. We will then be able to fully and wonderously live our lives secure in the flawless connection to that which is infinitely beautiful and brings tremendous joy. Now that’s living!

C. S. I. Of Dye.
Psst. Psst. *whispers* Hey you! Want to get rid of any tell tale signs that mark the signature of a serial at-home hair colourist? Need to get rid of the evidence quick?
Well here’s a tip to rival that of any career colourists:
To get rid of any hair dye on the bathroom sink, tiles or tub, cover the stain with a super special stain removing mixture (SSSRM). To make your own SSSRM just mix up a pasty combination of peroxide and cream of tartar. Cover the stain with the nifty mixture and leave to dry. Once the mixture is dry and looking decidedly powdery, wash it away with cold water. Ta da! What hair dye? Even the most seasoned C.S.I. of dye wouldn’t detect a trace. This is just a little something to keep under your hat should you need it. *wink*
Now Is That Really Necessary?
As graciously emailed:
Hello Beauty Marked!. Thank you so much for putting together a killer beauty blog and online beauty magazine. I’m 100% sure that you have really made such a difference to my knowledge about makeup, skincare and as you always say…to all things beauty! At the moment, I only have one question that continues to niggle away at me:
Is it really necessary for me to curl my eyelashes? I never do and wondered if maybe I should?
As gleefully answered:
*melts* Thank you so much for your kind words (and great question)! They mean so much to me and it’s always my complete pleasure to be of service. *big grin*
As for curled eyelashes, I’m a big fan. Curled lashes really open the eyes up and add tremendously to one’s beguiling beauty. Even those with short lashes can gain a fair bit of glam from curling their lashes then applying a lengthening mascara. For those with poker straight eyelashes…well, what better way to get them to stand and stay at attention, than to curl them and then apply a few coats of waterproof mascara? Curled lashes are a lifesaver for those with free-range lashes that just are hell bent on doing their own thing. A well wielded eyelash curler will get even the most recalcitrant lashes to figuratively straighten up and fly right, for sure! Curled lashes (and separated and de-clumped ones) are really much like groomed brows: an integral part of creating a gorgeous, overall-polished look. So to make what only required a short answer even longer (because we all know I can’t help myself)…Yes, curled lashes are necessary. Absolutely!
