Heralds True Beauty.
“Personal beauty is a greater recommendation than any letter of introduction.”
-Aristotle
The V Word.
I’m talking about vanity. According to most definitions of the word vanity, it is generally accepted to mean having a high opinion or pride in one’s appearance or worth. It’s often cavalierly bantered about as being a virtueless quality and something which one oughtn’t strive to have or be, which is largely issued with an insulting intention. Beauty Marked! would just like to go on the record and weigh-in as having said that there is an urgent need to reclaim and reframe this intensely loaded and often injurious word. There is great value, strength and love in acknowledging the vast beauty that is contained in us all, and which is often given wings to rightly soar when one embraces their tremendous worth and infinite beauty which lies both inside and out.
Taking pride in your appearance is a great thing. In doing this, it pays a loving and respectful tribute to the abundance of infinite and inner beauty we all possess. It is more than okay to bring our beauty out to play.
“I can never feel certain of any truth, but from a clear perception of its beauty.”
- John Keats
Nearly Good Enough To Eat…
Here’s a little homemade number that will not only save you a bit of money, but naturally works wonders as a facial scrub for those with sensitive skin that may be suffering from excess oiliness. Mush up about two huge strawberries for about 2 tablespoons worth of purée and mix into a moist paste with a slightly shy level tablespoon of rolled oats (uncooked oatmeal). Gently press this scrumptious paste onto just cleansed damp skin. Leave for about 15 minutes or until the mix is just starting to crumble. Then lightly roll as much of the strawberry and oat mixture off of your face and follow up with tepid water to rinse off. Pat dry and moisturize as per usual. Enjoy your deliciously smooth and excess oil-free skin! Mmmm.
It’s No Secret.
It’s no secret that I am just a little fond of beautiful quotations. Okay, a lot fond of them really. Well, the reason why you can always count on there being an abundance of quotations and affirmations about beauty on everything Beauty Marked! related is because beauty is such a HUGE part of what we do and what we are. Beauty quotations and affirmations lovingly remind us of what we know to be true. More simply put, knowing beauty in all its wonderful forms and all that it inspires is extraordinarily empowering. No kidding. Knowing beauty can move mountains. Not only mountains within each glorious individual but beyond. Beauty is what connects us and engenders humanity to be as magnificent as we truly are! So, if Beauty Marked! can merrily do its bit to call to mind and welcome individuals to feel safe, inspired and nurtured enough to move into, embrace, and generously experience their own infinite beauty what an incredible wellspring will come forth.
Beauty Marked! knows you’re beautiful, we just want you to know too. So, go forth and spread beauty and light…because that’s just what you are!

A Gorgeous Gift!
Today, as with most days in fact, I was given the most spectacular gift. A gift which I acknowledge today, but really should do so every day as it is most precious, highly therapeutic, and of which I am so grateful. I suspect you too may have been a gracious recipient of its magic on more than several occasions as well as responsible for such Random Acts of Beauty (RABs) yourself. I am talking about the priceless gift of a heartfelt smile. How wonderful are they? Just amazing, if you really stop to think about it. A smile can make your day in a flash and and can absolutely make someone else’s. Smiles lovingly impart blessings of cheer and ignite a beautifully joyous flame which spreads like wildfire brightening everyone’s day. Yep, smiles are contagious and truth be told, probably one of the very few things out there that you’d actually want to catch. A smile: The gift that truly keeps giving!
A Yummy Face Mask Perhaps?
Granted your not allergic to avocados and have eaten your fill, why not make a face mask with the other half? It’s nearly criminal how easy it is to make too: Just mush up a half of an avocado and pat it on a freshly cleansed face. Leave it on for a bit and enjoy delightfully moisturized (with the “good” oils) and uber vitaminized skin. This little Saturday Avo (pun intended) Treat is just perfect for all skin types, but exceedingly stellar for dry and mature skins. Yummo!
I’ve Been To Heaven…But Now I’m Back…Sort Of.
No worries though as, I did manage to write down the address so we can go back anytime. Our beloved Get Even More Gorgeous With Beauty Marked! Blog post is a lot late today because I was off early this morning to have one of the most divine beauty treatments I have had in a long while. I went to Stone Soul for a Crystal Balancing Facial and boy was it heavenly. Part of what was so magnificent about the facial is that it is paired with a Crystal Eyes add-on treatment which starts with a fantastic chakra balancing meditation which sends you into a gloriously deep state of relaxation that just further amps up the celestial quality of the hot and cold stone facial. It’s now several hours post my treatment, but it’s only now that I can attempt to shift the ethereal state of heavenly bliss I have been enveloped in only ever so slightly, so I can make a start on the work I have gladly let pile up thanks to the angels at Stone Soul. Since I’m only prepared to shift this state of heavenly bliss ever-so-slightly to write this post, the rest of my day’s doings and need doings will have to wait until tomorrow. I’m just having too much fun floating on cloud 9. I am sure you’ll be hearing lots more about the little bit of the empyrean that’s located at Stone Soul ? Organic Beauty & Natural Wellness Therapies 3/189 Darling Street Balmain, NSW Australia (02) 9555 1102. There really is a heaven here on earth and it’s just splendid!
