Flakeys Be Gone!

The Lip Scrub

When you have finally decided that you have had enough of your lips being dry, flakey and your lipstick or gloss caking up on your lips, let me know. Finally an effective lip exfoliator that is 110% up for the task, tastes divine, and delivers all the benefits of effectively exfoliated lips that we deserve. Sarah Happ, a 26 year old beauty entrepreneur, created The Lip Scrub™, which is a first class exfoliator that works. It was only after her exhaustive search to find a remedy, a lip loofah, if you will- she realized that it didn’t exist.

“I love what loofahs and scrubs do to my face and body, and my lips were starting to get jealous,” says Sara Happ.

Sarah Happ headed to her kitchen and began mixing ingredients, and within two weeks had whipped up The Lip Scrub™ in it’s exfoliating sugar base and infusion of natural extracts. The Lip Scrub™ is available in 6 delectable flavours: Cocoa, Cinnamon Sugar, Brown Sugar, Vanilla Bean, Almond Creme, and Peppermint.

Just take a small amount of The Lip Scrub™, massage it onto the lips using gentle circular motions, and wipe away with a tissue. Ta da! Unbelievable soft and supple lips. You will most certainly be wondering how you ever lived without it.

My Everything…

Everything Balm
This day is without a doubt a day where I have really needed to actively seek out my happy place. Cue the violins, please. Computer troubles, unsettled baby dramas, “tween” angst (not me, my daughter), toddler woes, husband… blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Yes, up until I grabbed Trilogy Everything Balm, it appeared that my day was, well and truly, circling the drain.

Admittedly, it hasn’t done a darn thing for my computer, but it has sorted out the baby’s sore bottom, settled the toddler’s itchy bug bites, worked a treat on my 12 year old daughter’s chapped lips and dry elbows, managed to tame that wayward cowlick she was carrying on about, and saved me from later regretting biting off that pain in the butt dry cuticle that was driving me to distraction. Now that I’ve applied the balm to just about everything in my close proximity with a pulse, the stress levels have abated substantially, as I’m surrounded with much happier campers now. As the Trilogy slogan says, “Everything Balm just makes you feel good.”

All my dramas ‘that-have-now-been-nearly-sorted’ aside, do check out this gorgeous, natural fixer upper. Not only is this balm loaded with natural goodness, it is preservative, PEGs, silicone, synthetic colours and fragrances, and paraben free, but is packaged in such an environmentally considerate way as well. Not a single hideously toxic dye is used in the packaging’s printing nor naughty chemicals in the manufacture of it’s recyclable box. It is well and truly, Cleaner, Greener, Healthier Skin Care. Ticks (checks for our North American friends) abound!

Spoilt Rotten Lips and the Change of Season…

I don’t know if it’s just me, but my spoilt rotten lips have been really kicking up a stink with this change of weather. They are positively insatiable at the moment. My lip balms (which I am slave) are generally petroleum free, bee’s wax, jojoba, and or shea butter based. But today, I had to pull out the “big guns” and reach for my old, but ever loyal friend, and patron saint of all bits dry: Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. Talk about just the ticket. It’s funny how a shift to an altogether different product can be just what you needed. No longer are the lunatics taking over the asylum. Calm is restored. My lips are feeling quenched, soothed and protected. I must say, I’m certainly not only grateful for this product’s preparation, but I am enjoying the comforting fragrance of Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream too. It takes me back to the magical beauty bliss of my childhood, when I can recall the scent of this lovely on the matriarch and grand matriarch of the family: my mother and grandmother. I remember when they used to apply a slick or two of this iconic product on me and how special I felt. Who would have thought that one simple product could “still” work all that magic? Ahhhh…
