Keep The Beautiful Ones Rolling In.
You have no idea how much I appreciate all the great many beauty questions and queries I receive each day. I am so very flattered that you ask them of me. Thank you. I get so many fabbo questions that I sometimes find it hard to get back to you lovelies in a timely fashion. So please accept my humble apologies and know that your emails and comments are very important to me and that I have put them all into thought and most certainly haven’t forgotten about them. So in hopes to answer several emailed questions that have the same or very similar answers, I will keep popping them in blog posts every so often, many times as topics of posts, in fact. Fingers crossed this will assist. I will also continue to answer your beauty questions in the Beauty Marked!® Online Beauty Magazine as well. So, hopefully, between the Get Even More Gorgeous With Beauty Marked!® blog and Beauty Marked!® online, we should get a fair few of your wonderful emails answered. I very much look forward to your emails and comments…they, absolutely, make my day. Thank You!
Befreckled Beauty.
A gorgeous beauty photograph graced the inbox of my computer this morning and was the inspiration for this post. I don’t think I can legally show it without permission, so I will do my best to describe it. Makeup aside, the photograph was an exquisite headshot of a woman with alabaster skin and the most divine pale violet coloured eyes that resembled precious Iolites. The woman in the photo also had the most glorious freckles setting gracefully along her brow, bridge of her nose and upper cheek bones. What captured my immediate attention, besides the colour of her eyes *faints*, was the gorgeous vulnerabilities of her inherent natural beauty on show by allowing her freckles to be seen. I adore the fact that they have gone with the option of allowing them to peek through the skillfully applied makeup. By permitting her freckles to exist in the photograph, it was a wonderful acknowledgment of the depth of her beauty. I only wish many more of our befreckled beauties would embrace the sheer loveliness of their presence.
Public Holiday Pampering Du Jour.
In Australia, It’s the Queen’s birthday again. Does that make it her second or third birthday this year? I can’t recall. Many of us have the day off today, so what better opportunity than to have a little beauty R & R. Well, it’s not so much pampering (*wink*), but more Public Holiday Monday Maintenance. I’m up for a little Public Holiday Monday Maintenance, how about you? On today’s Maintenance Monday Menu, I’m ordering up a face scrub, a mask, and blowdry. To be followed by a manicure and pedicure, I suspect. What do you think you’ll have? You’ll have to order up something for yourself. Everything’s good I hear. Enjoy!
Random Acts Of Beauty.
Every time you compliment an individual on their appearance, their character, their actions, their words, well…anything really, you are carrying out a Random Act of Beauty. Random Acts of Beauty, or RABs, as they are also affectionately known as, serve a two fold purpose. Not only do RABs have a wonderful impact on the recipient by presenting them with an opportunity to reacquaint themselves with their own infinite beauty, but Random Acts of Beauty also offer the initiator a fine opportunity to express their own generous spirit, which ultimately generates even more beauty as it’s highly contagious. After all, beauty does beget beauty.
In every man’s heart there is a secret nerve that answers to the vibrations of beauty. -Christopher Morely
The Beauty Stone.
I bet you didn’t know that there was a stone that promotes and enhances beauty. Yep, there certainly is and that stone is rose quartz crystal. You can’t go past a beaut bit of rose quartz to give you a beauty boost. Rose quartz crystal is amongst the most highly valued and prized for its gorgeously delicate pink tone. Rose quartz is said to be fantastic for the complexion, giving a youthful appearance and promoting feminine energies and qualities. Rose quartz is also known as the love stone that is able to dispel inadequacies and create romance. No wonder it is renowned for all things beauty. It’s rose quartz ’s wonderfully supportive abilities that encourages us to freely explore the abundance of beauty around us and that’s infinitely within us all. You’ve got to get a bit of this beauty!
Beauty Marked! highly recommends That Crystal Site for extraordinary crystals and service!
What’s Old Is New Again.
Early Egyptian civilizations were the first to show a demonstrated commitment to the use of cosmetics. The eye was the main feature chosen by early Egyptians for embellishment. Sounds like a civilization after my own heart, truth be told. The gemstones, Lapis Lazuli and Malachite were often ground up to a powder and used to magically highlight their eyes. It seems like they were amongst the first to be hip to mineral makeup too, by the sounds of it. It’s so very intriguing to bare witness to how beauty of the ancients lives on in the trends of today.
Madcap Monday!
I suppose if I actually understood astrology better, I could say something like Mercury is retrograde or that aurora borealis is extra gaseous or something more informed to explain the tardiness of my blog entry today. As I write this, the internet in my neck of the woods is down (the entire state apparently) and has been so for several hours. Where my ISP was answering the telephone early this morning and promising that the connections aught to be established in an hour or so (mind you, that was 5 hours ago!), they have now popped on a voicemail message stating that due to technical difficulties, they are unable to answer any calls. So, besides making over dramatic sighing noises, there isn’t much I can do. So I wait.
In the interim, I decided to pull out the DVD that was tagging along with a skincare range (which shall remain nameless) that I hadn’t been able to get around to due to the sheer volume of promising product I eagerly hope to review for you. So into my hobbled computer the DVD went. I cranked it up and sat back to watch. Huh? I looked over my shoulder once and then twice. What the? Excuse me? The DVD was utterly freaky. I felt like I was instantly transported to the future. You know the one: the future where we live under a glass dome out on a steel platform somewhere hovering over the left landfill of our neglected mother earth. You know, that year 2050 quasi Blade Runner sorta stuff. Weird. Images of waterfalls and clouds captured on time-lapsed film, women and men standing in rain forests (holographic of course), smiling at me with unwavering cultish gazes, new age music which I am convinced had underlaid tracks of subliminal messages urging me to take the green pill, go on take the green pill, you know you want to take the green pill… trying to creep into my psyche. Is this the way of my future? Our beautiful future? Argh! Surely someone’s having a laugh? Brb…
