Keep The Beautiful Ones Rolling In.

You have no idea how much I appreciate all the great many beauty questions and queries I receive each day. I am so very flattered that you ask them of me. Thank you. I get so many fabbo questions that I sometimes find it hard to get back to you lovelies in a timely fashion. So please accept my humble apologies and know that your emails and comments are very important to me and that I have put them all into thought and most certainly haven’t forgotten about them. So in hopes to answer several emailed questions that have the same or very similar answers, I will keep popping them in blog posts every so often, many times as topics of posts, in fact. Fingers crossed this will assist. I will also continue to answer your beauty questions in the Beauty Marked!® Online Beauty Magazine as well. So, hopefully, between the Get Even More Gorgeous With Beauty Marked!® blog and Beauty Marked!® online, we should get a fair few of your wonderful emails answered. I very much look forward to your emails and comments…they, absolutely, make my day. Thank You!

No Go Zone…Please.

I don’t know if it’s just me or not, but I seem to be a magnet for those hypothetical conundrums pertaining to whether or not you should tell someone (other than your bestest friend in the whole entire universe) that their makeup is horrid, that they’ve got racing stripes for blush, or that circa 80’s style lip liner is passé. I am posting this to say…Nope, no way, absolutely not, don’t go there, don’t even think about it, and step away from the temptation. Seriously. Yes, we have all thought it at one time or another and may have even mumbled it a little louder than we should have under our breath, but under no circumstances should it go any further than that. Let it be our little secret. Unless you are 210% sure that the zany makeup wearer will not be offended because you can let them know via an update that is said in such a nice way that you may have even convinced yourself that their offense is not that bad and gently slip in an alternative that is not only the way to go, but so awesome and smooth as silk, that they feel they, in fact, thought of it first. *takes a breath* In other words…Life’s too short. Serve them up a great compliment instead, that is sure to make them smile, and… just let it ride.

Befreckled Beauty.

A gorgeous beauty photograph graced the inbox of my computer this morning and was the inspiration for this post. I don’t think I can legally show it without permission, so I will do my best to describe it. Makeup aside, the photograph was an exquisite headshot of a woman with alabaster skin and the most divine pale violet coloured eyes that resembled precious Iolites. The woman in the photo also had the most glorious freckles setting gracefully along her brow, bridge of her nose and upper cheek bones. What captured my immediate attention, besides the colour of her eyes *faints*, was the gorgeous vulnerabilities of her inherent natural beauty on show by allowing her freckles to be seen. I adore the fact that they have gone with the option of allowing them to peek through the skillfully applied makeup. By permitting her freckles to exist in the photograph, it was a wonderful acknowledgment of the depth of her beauty. I only wish many more of our befreckled beauties would embrace the sheer loveliness of their presence.

What fun! Sunsilk has teamed up with three of Australia’s leading designers: Bettina Liano, Akira Isogawa, and Wayne Cooper to celebrate the first ever Sunsilk Fashion Designer Range. This affordable range of shampoo and conditioner encapsulates the essence, style and trend of these premier designers while offering serious hair care formulations with specialized crystal extracts to create gloss and shimmer. Bettina Liano, Akira Isogawa, and Wayne Cooper were totally hands on with this exciting collaboration. So much so, that over the last 6 months, each designer fully immersed themselves in the creation of the Sunsilk Limited Edition Fashion Designer Range.

Channelling the bold, rock chick attitude is Bettina Liano’s Sunsilk Shine Addict. Bettina Liano’s jeans (that no doubt reside in many a stylish superstar’s closet), which epitomizes her street funk are featured on her Sunsilk Shine Addict Pack design.

“Women who wear my clothes have a rock chick attitude, they’re cool and love a wild look”, said Bettina. ” I wanted my Shine Addict bottle design to translate the edginess of my designs.”

Akira’s Sunsilk Shine Angel is reminiscent of the delicate, beautiful style of his garments and the white packaging was influenced by Akira’s favourite bird motif.

“It is reminiscent of the girl next door…Sunsilk Shine Angel is young and fresh, ” said Akira.

Appealing to the glamourous seductress within, Wayne Cooper’s Sunsilk Seductive Shine is housed in a flashy gold bottle that screams red carpet celebrity, positively oozing with alluring glamour.

“I wanted the bottle to reflect glamour, style, and seduction, all key elements for my clothes and of course beautiful hair, ” said Wayne.

Sunsilk Limited Edition Designer Range is available now until November 2007 from all leading supermarkets and pharmacies nationwide.

Public Holiday Pampering Du Jour.

In Australia, It’s the Queen’s birthday again. Does that make it her second or third birthday this year? I can’t recall. Many of us have the day off today, so what better opportunity than to have a little beauty R & R. Well, it’s not so much pampering (*wink*), but more Public Holiday Monday Maintenance. I’m up for a little Public Holiday Monday Maintenance, how about you? On today’s Maintenance Monday Menu, I’m ordering up a face scrub, a mask, and blowdry. To be followed by a manicure and pedicure, I suspect. What do you think you’ll have? You’ll have to order up something for yourself. Everything’s good I hear. Enjoy!

Like White On Rice…

Do you want your eyeshadow to stick on like white on rice? This tip aught to do the trick: Apply cream eyeshadow, eye paint, or gel eyeliner to your lids first, then apply a corresponding powder eyeshadow or pigment on top to set. Ta Da! Eyeshadow that’s set to last the duration. No, your not having déjà vu. I have, indeed, alluded to this little number before, but since it’s so nice, I thought I’d mention it twice. Just think of this encore pearl as a gentle reminder of yet another way to get even more gorgeous!
